I’ve taken part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival multiple times, so I know the pace and atmosphere of the weekend first-hand. But visually, the identity felt disconnected from the scale of the event.
With nine races across two days, the brand lacked a clear system that could unify the festival while giving each race its own distinct presence.
I reimagined the identity around a bold typographic grid and a high-contrast colour system, creating a flexible framework that brings structure, clarity, and impact across the entire event.
